Festival Spoffin 2021- EEDT and Cie Hammich

Three people are stuck at the border because they don'​t have the necessary papers to travel. They are held in a room in no-man​s land upset and full of preconceptions of each other​s culture; furthermore, they don​t speak each other​s language. Through disciplines of hand balancing, acrobatics, contemporary and urban dance a series of events will unfold bringing the four travellers closer to each other and an interest and understanding of their respective culture starts to develop. Through humour and storytelling the three performers use their own art forms as a technique to communicate. Inspired by chance meetings and impromptu conversations a multitude of creative expression is brought to life as they establish their differences but also their points in common.

Etta Ermini Dance Theatre was established in 2005 with the aim of exploring human relationships through cross art form exploration and story-telling. Working in the UK and internationally, in in- and outdoor settings, the company uses an interdisciplinary approach to examine relationships through an array of creative disciplines.
