Festival Spoffin 2021- Lejo

With bare hands and wooden eyes, Lejo creates a unique, fresh form of puppet theatre. 'Hands up!' is a cheerful, wordless performance with a lot of music. The puppets show their tricks from a large blue puppettheater. A tough dog, two tap dancers, a cow with an eating disorder, an entire children's choir including a conductor and many others are all included. The audience (of all ages!) quickly forgets that she is looking at two hands.

Under the name Lejo, Leo Petersen has been making shows and films with his dolls since 1995. What started as a study project grew into an act with which he travels all over the world. In the Netherlands and Belgium, Lejo is best known for the films he made for Sesame Street.
