Fabuloka [NL] Contra
A white lady approaches with a trolley. A black hand emerges from the trolley, which grows into a human figure. The lady has been given a shadow. In an acrobatic duet, the lady loses her white clothes under which she also turns out to be black…
'Contra' is an alienating circus theater performance that deals with the shadow through acrobatics, mime, theater and mask play. Everyone has a shadow, different sides of yourself that you don't often show. By using black morph suits, the artists make the shadow tangible. They go into a duet or fight with it.
