01-01-2019 Are you an up-coming outdoor artist? Or experienced but eager to try something new? Professional artists and companies can apply for Spoffin OFF 2019 till February 28. Don’t wait or hesitate, deadlines are strict and just a limited number of artists/groups will be selected to participate.
This year we are looking forward to our 10th edition, from August 23th till August 25th. Spoffin in Amersfoort (NL) is an annual street arts festival for professional artists from all over Europe, with innovative outdoor and site-specific performances.
Spoffin OFF is the showcase part of the festival. A committee consisting of four festival programmers under supervision of artistic director Alfred Konijnenbelt will thoroughly study all the applications and make the selection. The first selection in March will be mainly based upon artistic criteria: originality, expressiveness, professionalism and whether the work interacts with public space and the audience. Other criteria are described on the website.
We offer artists and companies venues on squares, streets and in parks and some specific sites in the mediaeval city centre of Amersfoort. Publicity, hotel, meals, plenty opportunities to meet professionals, reasonable compensation for travel costs and all the money raised ‘on the hat’ by our volunteers are also part of the deal.
